Donations for buying HTML editing component....

Postby mvrhov » 22 Aug 2006 09:00

Hi all users of si.Mail.
As I'm getting more and more requests on when si.Mail will be able to write HTML messages and have a decent LIVE spellchecker I decided to bought a component that can do that.

But here is a catch, I'm giving si.Mail out under opensource license for everybody to use, and I would really really like to stay it that way.
The component price is 190EUR/(240$) which is to much for me to pay out of pocket.

I have a MoneyBookers account: Image

For other possibilities read below.

Where I live there is no way in using Pay Pal account to get the money and bank transfers are expensive, so I tought of using letters to get the money (You can put money between two nonblank pieces of paper). Please provide a name in that letter so I can write it here.

I will add donators into this topic and probably into si.Mail's about box.

Address to send the money is:

Code: Select all

Reagrds,
Miha

edit: removing sticy bit from topic, because is not nedded anymore.
Thanks to company Cordia d.o.o. for paying the license fee. (Other donators are written in Donations topic)

Hi, Miha.

What component do you mean on 190EUR/(240$)?

And could you share your experiment
why did you refuse a mshtml composer?

Regards, Serge.

Ok, I've seen. It's TRichView.
I have registered version of TRichView.
But I've made sure it's not applicable as general purpose html editor.
I'm sure you will have problems with it in the end.
Although I don't insist on this. At least TheBat uses it for the same purpose.

But nevertheless what about mshtml editor?
It's not convenient for you using proprietary component for open sourse project.

I've just got it. The company in my country that uses si.Mail as their default e-mail client paid whole license fee.

Why not mshtml editor:
-mshtmled is obsolete since IE 5.5
-I need live spellcheck
-there were some other issues I can't remember ATM
-I'm removing mshtml engine from si.Mail in 0.9 series as default html renderer

At first I had in mind html edit from purpose soft, but that editor doesn't support Unicode.

Regards,
Miha

I'm not about mshtmled.
Just webbrowser in design mode.

It's possible with mshtml

This is can not be true. Don't Internet Explorer support Unicode?

TRichView don't support textflow around images.
Don't support html structure.
It's just import/export html, not true html-editor.
But never mind, it's your desition.
